What We Provide
OUR SERVICES
At Calvin’s Lawn Care we provide Mowing, Edging, Trimming, and Blowing in our full service. We also do other yard work such as Spring and Fall Clean ups and other things depending on what our customers need! Even in the winter we offer snow blowing and shoveling for those harsh winter months.
Calvin’s Lawn Care has came a long way in such a short time, here I’ll explain. Our company all began back in the 2017 winter. At the time being only a sophomore in high school while still playing sports it was very hard to manage time to be able to have a job. One day I was just thinking and I seen how bad of a snow storm we we’re having. At that moment I thought it would be a good idea to go and make flyers to give out to people and prospective customers about how I could shovel there driveways, sidewalks, and stairs. At the beginning it was a slow start because you only get out what you put in. That upcoming spring one of my teachers till this day told me about a business competition, where you could pitch a business idea and win $1000. So having a business was not a huge priority for me at the time, but she inspired me to compete for his grant. Surprisingly I won! Once I won the grant I knew that I had to take Calvin’s Lawn Care serious. The next day I won the grant I went to buy new equipment, because we only owned one 20 year old lawn mower which wouldn't of have lasted one day on the job. The main problem was transportation. I purchased a TRACTOR trailer in hopes to somehow attach it to a bike. Every bike shop and hitch shop in GR told me that no bike can carry that much weight without having problems. I stayed faithful and then I was blessed and my older brother who is a welder/carpenter created me a metal contraption in our garage so I could transport my equipment to serve my customers. From there one I was rolling, with obviously hard work from pulling 400 lbs around on a tractor trailer with a bike. A few months later I was blessed with a Truck by a lady named Sarah Young for a affordable price. She was also one of my first customers. Since then I've been growing Calvin's Lawn Care with the help of God, Mom, Family, Church, Coaches, and the Community.
